Hello I need an ajax chat to allow instant messages between registered users of the website The website is already developed, only needed the ajax code. Only private chat, no public chatroom needed I need the ajax client chat interface with fields like textarea where messages appears updating without page refresh, textfield to fill with messages to send, button to send messages. I even need a box that will appear in the left side of the webpage where online users are listed and incoming chat requests appears. Online users will be listed per city, age and gender In the website an user will click an hyperlink on webpage and a browser popup 400x300 will open with inside the fields to allow chatting. The chat request receiver user will be notified with a sound and with a link appearing on its webpage (on the box on the left side), clicking this link will open the popup window to allow chatting. The chat request sender get a message as soon as popup is opened: "user x has been notified". when an user closes the popup the other user get a red message: "user x left chat" When the other user goes offline a red message appears below all other messages: "user x is offline". In above cases textfield and button to send message gets disabled. Chat design will be very simple, textarea where messages appears one below the other, textfield to fill with messages to send, send button, clicking enter when focus is on textfield will send the message, clickable hyperlinks on textarea Code has to be compatible with IE6+, Firefox, Chrome.
